County Government

Jay County is administered by a three-member Board of Commissioners who meet on a weekly basis. The County Commissioners develop and establish policy for the county government and proceed to administer that policy. They work very closely with the County Auditor and other county offices.

Also, Jay County has a seven-member County Council which administers the fiscal policy of the county. The county budget is subject to the Council along with other fiscal matters. In addition, Jay County has formed a Redevelopment Commission which can assist your company with your various needs.

County and city/town government work very closely together to provide the utmost of services to the citizens of the County.
